Central Asian art: dinner with Erbossyn Meldibekov

Tuesday, 08 April 2014 19:00
Rossi & Rossi Gallery, 3C, Yally Industrial Building 6 Yip Fat Street, Wong Chuk Hang Hong Kong

Featuring sculpture, photography and installation works, Rossi & Rossi's exhibition of Erbossyn Meldibekov, Mountains of Revolution, was accompanied by a five-course dinner and wine pairing from Andrea Oschetti. Specialising in contemporary and classical Asian art, Rossi & Rossi represents artists from emerging markets in Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East.

Studying the art from these regions and meeting the artist allowed guests to further understand the history of these countries, as well as cultural identity in Central Asia. It also encourages the desire to explore and travel to these regions, and the importance of art and culture in understanding a destination when you travel.
